Achieving Goals
What to do when you reach your target — mark goals as achieved, reactivate them, or delete them.
Celebrate Your Wins
Reaching a savings goal is a milestone worth recognising. NivoaFlow makes it easy to mark goals as achieved and keep your active goal list focused on what is next.
Marking a Goal as Achieved
When your goal reaches (or exceeds) its target amount:
- Go to Plan > Goals
- Click the kebab menu (the three vertical dots) on the goal you want to celebrate
- Choose Mark Achieved
- Confirm in the dialog — the goal moves to the Achieved tab
You can also mark a goal as achieved manually at any time, even if the target hasn't been fully reached — useful if circumstances changed and you consider the goal complete.
What Happens to Achieved Goals
- History preserved — all contributions, progress updates, and linked transactions remain intact
- Moved to the Achieved tab — the goal disappears from the Active list but stays in your account
- Auto-tracking stops — if the goal was linked to an account, tracking pauses while it sits in Achieved
- Reports include it — achieved goals remain in your historical data
Reactivating an Achieved Goal
Changed your mind or want to continue saving? You can reactivate an achieved goal:
- Switch to the Achieved tab on the Goals page
- Click the kebab menu on the goal
- Choose Reactivate
- Edit the goal afterwards if you want to update the target amount or date
Auto-tracking resumes if the goal was linked to an account.
Deleting Goals You No Longer Need
NivoaFlow doesn't currently have a separate "archive" — instead, you have three actions:
| Action | Use When |
|---|---|
| Mark Achieved | You reached your target and want to keep the win in your history |
| Reactivate | You're returning to an achieved goal and want to keep saving |
| Delete | The goal was created in error or is no longer relevant — this permanently removes the goal and its contribution history |
To delete a goal, click the kebab menu and choose Delete. A confirmation dialog warns you that the action can't be undone.
Tips
- Take a moment to celebrate — reaching a financial goal is a real accomplishment
- Set a new goal after achieving one to maintain your savings momentum
- Use Mark Achieved instead of Delete when you want to preserve history
- Review the Achieved tab occasionally to see how far you've come
