Registration of Deeds fees

The Registry of Deeds charges a fee to register a conveyance and a fee to register a mortgage. The Schedule of Fees lists $100.00 up to a value of $500, and $100.00 plus forty cents for each additional one hundred dollars or part of one hundred dollars above that. The schedule is dated 1 May 2007, and the mortgage fee is capped at five thousand dollars. We did not find a page that names a land transfer tax.
