Household Activity Feed
See a real-time audit trail of household actions
What Is the Activity Feed?
The household activity feed is a chronological log of meaningful changes that happen inside your household. It acts as a lightweight audit trail so everyone can see who did what and when, without having to interrogate one another.
Where to Find It
Open the household sidebar from the dashboard and select Activity. You can filter by event type — for example, only ownership tags or only contributions — and load older entries with a single click.
What Gets Logged
The feed surfaces collaborative events on shared data, not every keystroke. Tracked event types include:
Shared accounts
- Account shared with the household
- Account share removed
- Per-member visibility changes on a shared account
Household goals
- Goal created, updated, or deleted
- Contribution made to a goal
Ownership tags
- A transaction tagged as Mine, Theirs, or Ours (manually or by an ownership rule)
Membership
- Members joining, leaving, or being removed
- Role changes between Owner, Partner, Member, and Viewer
- Invites being sent
Review queue
- Reviews assigned to a member
- Reviews resolved
- Comments added to a review
Household settings and budgets
- Household settings updated
- Household budgets created, updated, or deleted
Approval actions
- Actions proposed, approved, rejected, or executed (where approvals apply)
Personal-only edits — like categorising your own transaction or renaming a private account — are not posted to the household feed. The feed focuses on changes that affect shared data.
Reading the Feed
Each entry shows:
- Who — the household member who performed the action
- What — a short description (for example, "shared TD Chequing", "contributed $200 to House Down Payment")
- When — relative time stamp (for example, "2 hours ago" or "Yesterday")
Entries are listed newest-first.
Who Can See the Activity Feed
All adult household members — Owner, Partner, Member, and Viewer — can view the feed.
