Household Seats and Billing

How Seats Work

The Household plan includes 2 adult members. Whoever creates the household is the first member, so that leaves room for one Partner or Member invite by default. Everyone in the household — including invited members on the Free tier — gets premium access through the household subscription, so nobody needs their own paid plan.

Roles That Count Toward Your Seat Allocation

The current household model uses these four roles:

Role	Counts toward seats?
Owner	Yes — uses one of the included seats
Partner	Yes — uses one of the included seats
Member	Yes — uses one of the included seats
Viewer	No — view-only role, does not consume a seat

Need More Seats?

We are intentionally launching with the 2-seat allocation and gathering feedback before adding paid extra seats. If your household needs more seats today, email support@nivoaflow.com and let us know — it helps us prioritise the feature.

Managing Members

Go to Settings > Household
Open the Members section to see your current roster and seat usage
Use Invite Member to fill an open seat, or change a member's role from the same screen

Billing Basics

The Household plan billed monthly is $12.99 CAD/mo; annual is $99 CAD/yr (or $69 CAD/yr during the founding pricing window)
Billing happens on the same cycle (monthly or annual) regardless of how many seats are currently filled
Stripe handles all invoicing — view invoice history and update payment methods from Settings > Plans > Manage subscription

Example Scenarios

Couple managing finances together

You (Owner) + Partner (Partner) — fills both included seats, perfect for a couple

You and an adult family member

You (Owner) + Sibling/parent (Member) — uses both seats; the second person can manage their own transactions and accounts

Adding a view-only viewer

You (Owner) + Partner (Partner) + Parent (Viewer) — Viewer does not consume a seat, so this works on the included allocation
